Project info​

Studio Meala was delighted to work with Director Sarah Benson as part of the Irish Animation Frameworks program supported by Screen Ireland and RTE. Hermit is a short film written by Patrick Moynihan, Sarah Benson, and Owen Peurois about humanity's greed and its effect on the environment.  The short premiered at the 2022 Galway Film Fleadh and will be shown at international events going forward.

Synopsis

In a dystopian future, Mother Nature guards the last of Earth’s flora deep underwater. When the last of humanity – a hermit building a shelter – makes a discovery, greed takes over.
