‘Christmas Crackers’ is the latest series of animated shorts produced by Studio Meala.
What's It All About?
Commissioned by RTÉ, these ten hand-drawn mini-episodes follow two stressed out Christmas crackers working hard to come up with the terrible festive jokes that come packed in every Christmas cracker in time for the holidays.
Studio Meala and RTÉ have previously collaborated on shorts ‘Saving Chops’ (‘HOME’ series), ‘Bear With Me’ (‘Shorts Yule Love’ series) and most recently their very first original show ‘Doodle Girl’.
‘Christmas Crackers’ is written and directed by Studio Meala’s Creative Director, Sean Cunningham. With voice acting from comedians Tony Cantwell and Hannah Mamalis. Tony and Hannah most recently starred and wrote in the RTE sitcom ‘Good Boy’, and Tony also recently starred as a voice actor in the aforementioned RTE JR show, ‘Doodle Girl’.
